These terms and conditions apply between the user of the audio transcription application “UnMemo” and its operator, Vincent Friedrich (contact details are available in the imprint). By using UnMemo, the user agrees to these terms.
The app allows users to import audio files stored on their device and automatically transcribe their contents.
The app also allows users to generate AI-based summaries of the transcribed content.
The user confirms that they have obtained all necessary rights, permissions, and consents to record, import, store, transcribe, and summarize any audio content processed using the app.
The app must not be used to process audio recordings that violate applicable laws, including but not limited to privacy, data protection, or criminal laws.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. By using the app, the user agrees to the Privacy Policy.
Audio processing, transcription, and summarization are performed locally on the user’s device using system-provided technologies. Audio content is not transmitted to third-party services for transcription or summarization.
All rights to the app, including source code, design, logos, and branding, are owned by the operator.
The user may not copy, modify, distribute, decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, except where expressly permitted by law.
All audio content, transcriptions, and summaries created by the user remain the user’s property. The operator may temporarily store and process such content solely to provide app functionality.
Transcriptions and summaries are generated automatically using speech recognition and artificial intelligence. The output may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate.
The generated content does not constitute legal, medical, financial, or professional advice and must not be relied upon as such. The user is responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated output.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, except where mandatory statutory consumer rights apply.
The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the accuracy of transcriptions or summaries.
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from the use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, incorrect transcriptions, AI-generated inaccuracies, or service interruptions, unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence.
The user agrees to indemnify the operator against claims arising from unlawful use of the app or violations of these terms.
The user may terminate this agreement at any time by discontinuing use of the app or uninstalling it.
The operator may suspend or terminate access to the app in case of violations of these terms.
The operator reserves the right to modify these terms to reflect legal or functional changes. Material changes will be communicated within the app.
Continued use of the app after 30 days constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and the operator.
